Porch Extension - Richmond London
Location
Westhampton, New York
Overview
The porch extension was thoughtfully designed to serve two primary purposes: to offer weather protection while entering the house and to provide additional storage space for coats and shoes. Great care was taken to ensure that the design of the porch seamlessly integrates with the original aesthetics of the house. The aim was to maintain a cohesive appearance where the porch becomes an extension of the existing architecture.
Particular emphasis was placed on the window design to ensure that ample natural light continues to flow into the hallway. By strategically positioning and selecting the appropriate window style and materials, the design ensures that there is no compromise in the amount of natural light entering the interior space.
Overall, the porch extension was created to not only enhance functionality but also to complement and harmonize with the original design of the house, while preserving the flow of natural light throughout the hallway.
